Terms of Use and Distance Contract
1. Service provider and payment recipient
Online ride bookings, gift card sales and payment processing at all Drift Arena locations, as listed in the Contacts, are provided by SIA „Drift Arena“, registration No. 40203320451, VAT No. LV40203320451, country of registration: Republic of Latvia, registered office: Visbijas prospekts 30, Rīga, LV-1014 (hereinafter: the Seller). Contact details: payments@driftarena.com, phone +371 2884 2288.
In-person services are provided by the relevant Drift Arena franchise location, as listed in the Contacts (in Liepāja: SIA „DA LIEPAJA“, registration No. 40203522098, Ganību iela 197/205, Liepāja, LV-3407). By making a booking or buying a gift card, the buyer agrees that the information required to fulfil the order is shared with the relevant franchise location. The Seller and the franchise location are hereinafter collectively referred to as the Arena.
2. Formation of the contract
These Terms, together with the booking or purchase confirmation, constitute a distance contract within the meaning of the Consumer Rights Protection Law and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 of 20 May 2014 „Regulations Regarding Distance Contracts“. The contract enters into force when the buyer confirms the order and completes payment (or — for payment on site — when the booking is confirmed). Before placing an order, the buyer confirms that they have read these Terms.
3. Services and prices
- Ride booking — a place in a specific track session (one ride lasts approximately 10 minutes on the track; the session start time is approximate and may shift slightly due to the flow of the queue).
- Gift card — a card containing a set number of rides. The rides do not all have to be used at once — they can be used one at a time, on different days, within the card's validity period.
All prices are stated in euros and include VAT. Online bookings may be subject to an online service fee, which is clearly displayed before payment. The final amount is always shown before the order is confirmed.
4. Payment
Online payments are processed by SEB bank (using the EveryPay payment platform) and can be made by payment card (Visa or Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay on the bank's secure payment page. The Arena does not receive or store the buyer's card details. After payment, a receipt and booking confirmation are sent from payments@driftarena.com to the email address provided.
- Accepted cards: Visa and Mastercard payment cards. The relevant card scheme logos are displayed at the payment step before payment is confirmed.
- Payment currency: euros (EUR). If the buyer's card account is denominated in another currency, the card-issuing bank applies the currency conversion and exchange rate; the Arena neither performs this conversion nor controls the rate.
- No card surcharge: the Arena does not apply an additional fee or surcharge for payment by card. The amount payable is always the same as the amount shown before confirmation.
- Data security: card details are entered only on the bank's payment page and transmitted over an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). Payments are processed in accordance with card scheme and PCI DSS security requirements. The Arena neither sees nor stores the card number, expiry date or security code.
- Proof of purchase: the buyer receives an electronic receipt for each transaction, stating the transaction amount, date and order number.
4. 1. Receipt of a gift card
Following successful payment, the gift card and receipt are sent electronically to the email address provided by the buyer. If the confirmation has not arrived within 24 hours, please check the spam folder and contact the Arena using the contact details set out in Section 1 of these Terms.
5. Provision of services and check-in
- Once the booking is confirmed, the buyer receives a unique booking code (on screen, by email and on the receipt).
- You must check in for your booked ride at the arena reception desk at least 15 minutes before the session begins, by presenting the code. If you miss check-in, the booked place is released to the walk-in queue and the ride can be used on a first-come, first-served basis.
- First-time riders receive a safety briefing before the ride — please arrive 10 minutes early.
6. Safety and participation rules
Rides take place in accordance with the Arena's house rules and safety rules, available at the arena. The Arena may refuse service to anyone who fails to comply with safety requirements or is under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances; no refund will be given in such cases.
7. Right of withdrawal
A ride booking cannot be cancelled for a refund. A booking is made for a specific track session on a set date and at a set time. Under subparagraph 22.12 of Cabinet Regulation No. 255, the 14-day right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. If you cannot attend at your booked time, contact the arena before the session begins — where possible, we'll help move your booking to another time.
You may withdraw only from the purchase of an unused gift card — within 14 days of receipt, provided that no ride on the card has been used. We will issue the refund within 14 days using the same payment method as the original purchase. Full details and the withdrawal form — see the Right of withdrawal.
8. Refunds and card payment disputes
- Refunds are issued to the same payment card and account used for the original purchase. Refunds are not issued in cash or to another payment method.
- The amount refunded will not exceed the transaction amount actually paid. If the refund covers only part of an order, the corresponding amount will be refunded.
- Once grounds for a refund have been established, the Arena initiates it without requesting further confirmation from the buyer. The card-issuing bank determines when the refunded amount appears in the buyer's account.
- If the buyer wishes to dispute a specific card payment, they may contact either the Arena or their card-issuing bank and submit a claim regarding the transaction. The Arena provides the bank and card schemes with the information and documents required to investigate the dispute.
- Documents confirming the order, payment and provision of the service may be required to investigate the dispute, so please retain the receipt and booking confirmation.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Please send questions and complaints to payments@driftarena.com — we will respond in the manner and within the time limits prescribed by law (for a consumer submission — within 15 working days). If no agreement can be reached, the consumer may contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (www.ptac.gov.lv) or the Consumer Dispute Resolution Commission. This contract is governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
10. Other terms
The Arena may amend these Terms; each order is governed by the version in force when it is placed, as available on this page. The processing of personal data, including its protection during transmission over the internet, is described in the Privacy Policy.
